I love how popular culture adopts tropes, names and narrative devices from ancient Rome and Greece (and so on) traditions. Since they are no longer studied at school (or at least they do not have the same place in the curricula like, I don't know, 50 or 70 years ago), Romans and Greeks and their myths have become attractive once again.
And Deucalion in Teen Wolf: great! It would be even better if the creators of the show chose the name after Frankenstein's monster in Koontz books. Probably they did. Probably they didn't even think about Prometheus' son. But who the hell knows.
